Whoa.

Donna and I have spent the last half hour pointing out things that the other missed.

That was a good movie. :-)

Thoughts on some DVDs I've watched (or re-watched) lately:

Gettysburg -- the most faithful adaptation of book to film I've seen yet. I just re-read The Killer Angels, so it was fresh in my mind. I had forgotten that Kevin Conroy (Gibbs in Pirates of the Caribbean) played Kilrain -- that must be why his lines were so vivid when I re-read them. :-)
Over the Hedge -- PLAY!!!!!!
Superman Returns -- He's not Christopher Reeve, but I think I can buy into his portrayal. I loved the recycled lines from Superman. And Kevin Spacey kicks Gene Hackman's butt as Lex Luthor. Sorry, Gene. :-)
Music from Another Room -- Damn, Jude Law is good.
Edward Scissorhands -- I've been tossing random Jack Sparrow movies at Ael and Erin lately to see how long it takes them. Erin recognized his name in the credits, but couldn't quite figure out who he was playing until I pointed it out. (Nightmare on Elm Street can wait for them to find it themselves, thanks....)
Howl's Moving Castle and Mirrormask -- beats me, I haven't had time to sit down and watch them yet. :-)
The Taming of the Shrew -- I was really not expecting Erin to fall in love with this movie when we watched it On Demand, but I wasn't complaining. I picked it up for her for Christmas, and got the best scream of delight in recent memory when she opened the package -- even if she was confused about the giver and wondered how Santa knew she liked it. :-)

There are a couple more I should probably list, but they're not coming to mind at the moment. What else have people looked at lately?
